1. Savandurga (51 km)

Savandurga is a hill 60 km west of Bengaluru (Karnataka, India), off the Magadi road in India. It is the largest monolith in Asia. The hill rises to 1226 m above mean sea level and forms a part of the Deccan plateau. It consists of peninsular gneiss, granites, basic dykes, and laterites. The Arkavathi river passes nearby through the Thippagondanahalli reservoir and towards Manchanabele dam.

2. Antargange (62 km)

Antara Gange (also known as Anthargange) is a mountain situated in the Shatha Shrunga mountain range in the southeastern portion of the Indian state of Karnataka, Kolar district. Antara Gange literally means “Ganges from deep” in Kannada. It is about two miles from the town of Kolar and seventy kilometres from Bangalore.

Antara Gange is famous for Sri Kashi Vishweshwara temple, also known as Kashi of South. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the temple is a pond which gets a continuous flow of underground water from the mouth of a Basava (stone bull). It is believed that drinking water from the pond cleanses one from many diseases.

Ramanagara is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is also the headquarters of Ramanagara district. It is approximately 56 kilometres from Bangalore. There are buses and trains as public transportations which approximately takes 90 minutes from Bangalore.

Bilikal Ranganatha Swamy Betta is a hill near Kanakapura town in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located 70 km south of Bangalore city. Atop the hill is a temple dedicated to Lord Ranganatha Swamy.

The temple and adjacent quarters are housed underneath a huge granite rock. The hill is also known by the name Bilikal Betta due to the whitish rocks near the summit that are visible from a long distance. The peak is at a height of 3780 feet (1152 m).

Hogenakkal Falls is a waterfall in South India on the Kaveri river on the border between Dharmapuri district of Tamil Nadu and Chamarajanagar district of Karnataka. It is located 46 km (29 mi) from Dharmapuri and 199 km (124 mi) from Chamrajnagar.

Carbonatite rocks in this site are considered to be the oldest of its kind in South Asia and one of the oldest in the world. The Government of Tamil Nadu made a proposal to convert the falls into providing drinking water for the state.

Horsley Hills or Horsleykonda or Yenugulla Mallamma Konda is a series of hills in Andhra Pradesh in Madanapalle Taluk of Annamayya district and is about 9 miles from Madanapalle town. The local name of the hill was Yenugu Mallama Konda after a legend of a saintly old woman named Mallamma who lived at the top of the hill and was fed by elephants (yenugula).

W.D. Horsley, a British collector, built his home around 1870 after whom it is named. In contrast to the dry and hot surrounding, this area is well vegetated with cooler climate. This made it attractive as a hill station and a tourist spot.

8. Yelagiri (159 km)

Yelagiri is a hill station in the southeast Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Built in 1964, the hilltop Velavan Temple is a colourful Murugan temple with views of the valley below. The Jalagamparai Waterfalls crash into a swimming hole surrounded by trails and picnic spots. Nearby is a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Close to artificial Punganur Lake, the Nature Park has a garden and an aquarium, with fish and tortoises.

Tipu Sultan Fort, a summer retreat of the namesake 18th-century ruler, features stone carvings and wall paintings.
